Hello everybody.
I'am Marco from Italy, and I own a '69 R16 Super - R1150.
My car's numbers: type R1150 - body 1050655 - equipment 102 - fabrication 399 598 - engine type 697-01
I finished the restoration of the body last year, but still I miss the Renault logo on the front grille. I found one on the internet, from a R16 club in the Netherlands (Renault spare parts code 08 57 637 400), but it does not fit on my car, as my car has two holes on the grille (see attached pic) and the logo I bought has only one pin on the rear.
I contacted the chief for Renault spare parts in Italy: of course they do not have any logo on stock, but he could read on an old spare parts catalogue that the correct number for the logo with 2 pins for my car should be the following: 77 00 550 199 - this should be the correct logo that matches with my "two holes" grille. The distance of the two holes is exactly 35 mm.
Can somebody on the forum help me? Thanks a lot!!!

Hello Marco!

Well the problem is not your logo, it is your grille piece
The grille you have is for a car newer than 1972 which should have the new logo (77 00 567 696).
Your car should have a grille with no holes at all as the logo is bolted between two grille bars.

What you need are the following pieces:
- logo holder (06 08 289 900)
- distance (06 08 321 300)
- retainer (06 08 289 300)
- a nut and a washer
But these pieces you can easily make your self from some pieces of sheet steel.

Have a look at the enclosed clip from the parts manual.

There is one grill piece for sale here in the Netherlands, what you need.
It have no holes in it.
the r16 in Tilburg can also help you with these parts.
